iOS 17.2 iPhone syncing hangs (FIX)

The iOS 17.2 iPhone Sync Stuck error is very annoying but can be worked around.

What is also the case is that Apple only fixes the error as it stands with iOS 17.3. Well, it’s supposed to be released soon, unfortunately I don’t know a date.

iPad OS syncs completely, but does so very slowly, just like the iPhone.

iOS 17.2 iPhone sync hangs

If you are using a Mac you can do the following, on WINDOWS PC you have to look for the process in the task manager and end it.

If you get the error message “Synchronization is being prepared,” look for the “MDCrashReportTool” process in the “Activities Monitor” and end it.

The synchronization will then continue.

• You have to do these steps every time you synchronize
  
  
• I haven’t tested it under WINDOWS with iTunes, but it should work similarly. The “process” may be called something different
  
  
• The process “MDCrashReportTool” only appears as a “process” when the error message “Synchronization is being prepared” is displayed
